Business Analyst, Medicare Population Health Programs, Amazon One Medical Seniors

Medicare Population Health Programs (MPHP) supports our Seniors business in identifying, designing, implementing, and managing risk adjustment, care management, and quality initiatives to succeed in Value Based Care (VBC). As an Analyst on the MPHP team, you will lead the delivery of various data analytics functions including analyzing large data sets, gathering stakeholder requirements, developing metrics and dashboards, and enabling and evaluating program effectiveness. Key job responsibilities Business Analysis: Leverage disparate healthcare data sets (i.e. EMR, claims) to analyze and evaluate key strategies and initiatives and assess emerging areas of opportunity to impact patient care. Measurement & Reporting: Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements and build valuable and scalable metrics and dashboards to inform regular performance reviews. Data Governance: Interact with cross-functional partners (i.e. Data Engineering, Payer Ops) to ensure key stakeholders have access to critical and accurate data sets, contribute to use case testing and validation, and provide subject-matter expertise for ongoing projects as necessary. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience with SQL or ETL - Experience in Excel (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups) - 2+ years of professional experience in healthcare data and analytics - 1+ years of experience working with various healthcare data sets including Electronic Medical Record (EMR), medical and pharmacy claims, clinical quality, and/or risk adjustment - Familiarity with healthcare delivery, preferably Primary Care, and Value Based Care such as Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs) and associated programs (i.e. MSSP, ACO REACH) - Skilled at communicating technical insights to non-technical stakeholders - Effective at working independently while managing multiple projects against agreed-upon timelines Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with Tableau - Experience using very large datasets - Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills through logical thinking and data-driven decision making - Quick learner who is comfortable with ambiguity and has a passion for delivering consistently high quality Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
