About The Role

As a Business Account Manager, you will join our account management and business development team, which is driving the adoption of the Genedata Biopharma platform for both global pharma- and innovative biotechnology organizations. This role will focus on developing new business opportunities as well as expanding business with existing customers, which will ultimately power pharmaceutical industry and help make breakthrough discoveries and bring them to market faster.

This is an interdisciplinary role within the commercial operation at Genedata interfacing sales- and account management, product management and marketing.

The position offers a high level of interactivity and responsibility in a quickly growing company and the opportunity to work as part of a strong international team.

This position reports to the Business Account Manager and is part of the Genedata Biologics® business unit located in Lexington, MA. and will be an on-site role.

It requires about 20% travel within the US and requires occasional travel to Europe

The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $140,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. 

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. 

Your Responsibilities

Key activities include working on both pre- and post-sales projects focused on our enterprise platforms Genedata Biologics® and Genedata Bioprocess® which are tailored to support data- and workflow management in biopharma R&D.

Stakeholder management (in pre- and post-sales)Coordinate with Genedata-internal stakeholders (e.g., project and product management and technical sales)Understand customer pain points to identify opportunities for new business development and business expansion with existing customersBuild strong customer relationships across entire organizations with scientists, R&D heads, IT managers and other stakeholdersPrepare and deliver scientific and sales presentations

Skills & Experience

MSc or PhD in biology, biotechnology, bioprocess, bioinformatics, or a related fieldFamiliar with biotechnology, pharmaceutical or software industryFamiliar with biopharma R&D processes (discovery, bioprocess, bioanalytic, CMC), biopharma production, analytical instrumentation, or lab automationFamiliar with enterprise, capital equipment, or complex sales and stakeholder managementSelf-motivated team player with ability to work independentlyAbility to interact productively with scientists and IT experts at all levels of an organizationExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English (fluency in German is a plus)Strong interpersonal skills in combination with a talent for giving presentations
