BUS DRIVER DUTIES
As a Bus Driver, you play a vital role in providing safe, reliable transportation for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your responsibilities include operating the bus efficiently, conducting thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring all passengers are properly secured using the appropriate safety equipment. Safety is your top priority, but just as important is your ability to offer friendly, respectful service to everyone you encounter - including passengers, families, and staff. You serve as a consistent, trusted presence, helping people get where they need to go while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Timeliness is essential, as you'll be following set schedules to keep programs running smoothly. Should any mechanical or safety issues arise, you are expected to report them immediately to ensure continued safe operation.
Shifts are Monday - Friday with morning and afternoon routes.
This position earns a competitive wage of $20.00-$21.00/hour.
BUS DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS
+ Class C CDL with passenger endorsement
+ Ability to earn 19A Certification
+ SCR clearance
Within 90 days of hire, you are also required to complete training regarding First Aid and CPR, HIPAA compliance, and various human development and disability topics.
