Has primary responsibility for identifying and developing opportunities for business expansion. Acts as liaison with government agencies (e.g., Departments of Defense, Homeland Security) and offices and performs continuous monitoring of evolving requirements and associated budgetary information in relevant agencies and Prime Contractor companies. Leads proposal generation efforts and capture plans for new business in the assigned market segments. This role is onsite at the Defense Systems Division (DSD) Irvine, CA location. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: + Responsible for all phases of a program capture plan from opportunity identification through contract award in the domestic and international defense systems markets. + Supports senior leadership in developing and executing customer and campaign strategies. + Develops and grows relationships with Aerospace and Defense OEMS and government customers and stakeholders. + Leverages Salesforce CRM to communicate opportunities and customer interactions within DSD and across Parker Aerospace. + Utilize all available Parker Aerospace resources, including Key Account Managers, to meet and exceed annual bookings goals. + Provides the ‘voice of the customer’ input to DSD operating structure. + Manages the writing and submission of proposals, ensuring the highest quality deliverables within time and budget constraints. This entails being able to work with multiple functions to ensure a coherent, timely and competitive proposal. + Establishes and maintains internal contacts to ensure conformance to customer requirements. + Creates marketing plans, awards forecasts, and associated back-up data and rationale and presents same to the senior leadership of the company. + Participates in tradeshows, demonstrations and other customer facing events. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities required) + Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering from an accredited college or university. Military service a plus. + This role requires 5+ years Military/Aerospace & Defense industry experience and knowledge of military platforms, weapon systems and US DoD procurement processes. + MUST BE A US PERSON: US Citizen or Permanent Resident. Must be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications: + International sales experience is a plus. + Experience with DoD prime contractors is a plus.
