Buisness Office Manager
Description Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Accounts Receivable & Resident Services Manager to join our team. This role ensures the accuracy of financial operations, supervises Resident Services Desk staff, and supports our commitment to high-quality senior care through meticulous billing, collections, and management practices. Key Responsibilities + Maintain and update daily census records within accounting software. + Lead private pay collections, including mailing statements, making follow-up calls, sending notices, and documenting account statuses. + Attend weekly accounts receivable (A/R) meetings to resolve unpaid accounts, ensuring issues are tracked and resolved efficiently. + Process private pay and miscellaneous payments, along with refunds, write-offs, and adjustments as necessary. + Address and interpret A/R billing concerns, offering clear explanations to stakeholders. + Collaborate on A/R reporting tasks and support collection initiatives as outlined by policy and procedures. + Manage billing processes for central supply systems, maintaining timely and accurate records. + Oversee month-end close procedures with a strong focus on accuracy. + Update and validate recurring charges and miscellaneous billing entries within accounting software. + Research overdue accounts, reconcile balances, and implement steps for resolution. + Supervise Resident Services Desk staff, leading recruitment, training, coaching, and day-to-day operational oversight. + Other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director or Corporate Controller. Requirements + Associate’s degree in Accounting or 4 +years of billing experience; knowledge of collection procedures is required. + Management experience is desired. + Proficiency in computerized accounting systems and standard office software. + Aptitude for resolving billing discrepancies and explaining A/R statements to residents, families, and stakeholders. + Ability to establish positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and the community. + Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow through on tasks independently. + Compassionate approach in interacting with elderly and disabled individuals. + Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Commitment to workplace safety, respecting the Resident Bill of Rights, and upholding employee responsibilities.
