Job Title: Building Surveyor
Location: Hybrid Position – West London
Rate: £300 per day (Umbrella CIS - If a UTR number can be provided)
Contract Type: Full Time (3 to 6 month ongoing contract)
Start Date: ASAP
The Role As a Building Surveyor, you'll be a key link between the Council and its school sites, delivering planned maintenance, capital projects, and urgent repair works. Working closely with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and sustainable operation of public buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess building condition and prioritise worksManage planned maintenance programmes and urgent repairsDraft specifications and assist with procurementOversee contractor performance and site deliveryMaintain project tracking, budgets and reporting systemsSupport bids for external fundingAlign your work with climate-conscious principles
What We're Looking For Essential:
Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in Building SurveyingProven experience in surveying and managing building worksExcellent stakeholder communication skillsFamiliarity with MS Office and project management toolsSound knowledge of health and safety and compliance standards
