Position Summary
Under the direction of the Service Division Account Manager, the Building Operator will have overall responsibility for maintaining assigned client's facilities located in the Regina area. They will utilize various Service Division strategies to ensure its continued operation and perform tasks such as maintaining safe conditions inside and outside of the facilities; performing minor plumbing and electrical repairs; conducting safety oversight; conducting mechanical inspection and maintenance of equipment. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform basic tours and log readingsPerform light duties such as HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical duties, assisting sub-contractors technician’s mechanics, etc.Build and maintain customer and supplier/vendor relationships to enhance competitiveness in the industry and promote good customer relationshipsAssist in developing and implementing quality control programsRepresent the company on matters such as business servicesPrepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clientsAssist in purchase of building materialsReview work/contracts/WIP for areas of risk and correct deficienciesCOMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Construction trade certification in plumbing, HVAC or electrical is beneficialWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2 year’s experience as Building OperatorExperience with residential HVAC and Plumbing repair would be considered as an asset.SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
This is a full-time position with some on-call and emergency out-of-office hours dutiesMust be able to pass and complete the requirements of Security ClearanceAbility to maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical building systems and equipmentCommunicates effectively, both written and verbal, excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to use computers and related technology efficientlyClean Class 5 SK Driver’s License; available to travel to various assigned client facilities.Must attend and pass Black & McDonald Basics of Supervision trainingPlease be advised that a Criminal Background Check and Professional Reference Check will be required as part of our employment screening and selection process.
