We are seeking a dedicated Building Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the operation, inspection, and maintenance of mechanical, architectural, and plumbing systems in assigned facilities. The ideal candidate is a proven professional with hands-on experience in general building maintenance and repair.

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pmLocation: Becton Dickinson & Co - Cayey, PR

Responsibilities:

Perform daily inspections of facility interior and exterior areas, including walls, flooring, fixtures, and roofing systemsConduct preventive maintenance and repairs on various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systemsRespond promptly to client requests and coordinate services and work ordersComplete general interior maintenance tasks (hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, repairing office furniture)Replace lighting and ballasts as neededClean HVAC coils and change filters and beltsAssist with special projects including minor office moves and furniture installationsMove office furniture, machinery, and equipment as requestedUtilize CMMS systems to update work order status in real timeComplete hazard assessments and maintain compliance with safety proceduresEscalate problems or issues to customers and managers in a timely manner

Qualifications:

3+ years of applicable experience in general building repair and maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, wall finishing, and using various hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery.Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and climb up to 30 ft laddersComfortable with frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
