Building Maintenance Painter
Overview Join our Facilities Team and bring color and craftsmanship to one of the most beautiful and unique settings in the region. As a Painter, you’ll support the appearance and upkeep of a wide variety of spaces, including employee housing dorms, commercial kitchens, dining areas, office buildings, and public-facing resort spaces. Come work and play at Seattle’s home mountain, Summit at Snoqualmie. Located an hour from Seattle, at the junction where the Pacific Crest Trail crosses Interstate 90. With summer activities ramping up with spectacular Mountain Biking trails and Scenic Lift Rides, there is lots to do all year long. Responsibilities Job duties may include, but are not limited to: Plan, schedule, and coordinate painting projects in collaboration with department stakeholders. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, or priming to ensure proper adhesion of finishes. Protect work areas using appropriate masking materials, drop cloths, or plastic sheeting. Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and safety guidelines. Perform painting tasks both indoors and outdoors in various weather and terrain conditions. Work on painting assignments in diverse facility types, including employee dormitories, kitchens, restrooms, and administrative offices. Qualifications What we are looking for: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing. Basic math and measurement skills required for surface area calculations and mixing ratios. Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and adapt to changing site conditions. Wage and Benefit Info: The wage range for this positions is: from $21.50 to $27.50 DOE This is a non-benefited role. All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
