Building Maintenance Manager

We currently have an opportunity for a Building Maintenance Manager.  Join our Government and Integrated Facilities Management team and play a key role in operational delivery for hard services and building maintenance to achieve all contractual obligations around safety, performance, quality, communications, and any other obligations required by the Contract. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

 

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

Accept ownership of processes, systems and compliance requirements for the contract.Ensure subcontractors working on the contract are inducted and training up to date. This includes both, Downer and the Customer’s specific training requirements.Producing all the necessary reporting required by the Contract including Monthly Performance, incident Investigation and ad/hoc reports. Ensuring the compliance of all Service Delivery Partners working on site.Maintaining detailed records of all tasks and activities undertaken on site including any planned and reactive maintenance, Incidents and near misses.

 

What You’ll Bring

Relevant trade qualifications or equivalent experience in building services. Additional certifications related to safety, asset management, or facility management will be advantageous.Proven experience in building services management, specifically hard services (carpentry, plastering, flooring, test and tag, lift maintenance, rapid doors).Experience in a GxP environment is desirable.Comprehensive understanding of OH&S regulations and commercial building statutory requirements.Strong knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and associated codes of practice.
