We are seeking a skilled maintenance manager specializing in industrial building maintenance and Ammonia/CO2 refrigeration systems!
Join Lineage Logistics at our rapidly expanding, fully automated cold storage facility in Hobart, IN—spanning 550,000+ sq. ft. and 95,000+ pallet positions. We’re hiring a hands-on Building Maintenance Manager to oversee facility systems, refrigeration (Ammonia/CO₂), automation infrastructure, and vendor coordination across both the existing site and newly added 188,000 sq. ft. expansion, ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced 3PL environment.Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management: Direct and develop a medium to large team of technicians, ensuring optimal performance and skill development.Refrigeration Oversight: Oversee Ammonia and CO₂ refrigeration systems, including compressors, evaporators, and temperature-controlled zones. Manage PMs, valve maintenance, and oil/filter changes, coordinate with external partners for system support.CAPEX & Budgeting: Develop and manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) and maintenance budgets to support operational efficiency.Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Implement and refine maintenance programs to maximize uptime and system reliability.Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless operations and continuous improvement.Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to company safety standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.Qualifications:
Experience: Minimally 4+ years in industrial maintenance, with strong exposure to facility infrastructure, refrigeration systems, and warehouse operationsLeadership: Strong experience managing and developing technical teams. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Ammonia refrigeration systems required; familiarity with CO₂ systems preferred. Strong understanding of refrigeration components including compressors, valves, evaporators, and system diagnostics. PSM experience is required; must be comfortable supporting audits and regulatory compliance. Refrigeration certifications (e.g., RETA, CARO, CIRO) are a plusFinancial Acumen: Experience in CAPEX planning, budgeting, and cost control.Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex automated systems and drive continuous improvement initiatives.This is a key leadership opportunity to drive operational excellence in a cutting-edge cold chain environment.
