**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and repairing building system operations and the performance of various areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
**What You’ll Do:**
Perform a wide variety of hands-on, labor-intensive maintenance tasks to support all **building and grounds operations** (excluding production equipment).
Conduct **HVAC system maintenance** , including motors, belts, drives, and rooftop units (RTUs).
Replace filters, belts, and other routine components to ensure efficient system performance.
Handle **general commercial plumbing** tasks, including restroom repairs and minor pipework.
Perform **lighting and electrical work** , including tasks involving 480V systems.
Carry out **painting, minor structural repairs** , and other general upkeep duties.
Maintain **garage doors and dock plates** , ensuring safe and functional operation.
Support **grounds maintenance** , including tasks like pulling weeds and coordinating with landscaping teams.
Follow **Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)** procedures to ensure safety during equipment servicing.
Follow all applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Maintain an energy management program to ensure systems operate efficiently.
Assist in implementing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program.
Respond to emergency repair needs as required.
Safely store, use, and dispose of hazardous materials.
Conduct inspections of building systems (e.g., HVAC, fire alarms, plumbing) to ensure proper operation and compliance.
Apply in-depth technical knowledge to solve complex maintenance issues and provide innovative solutions.
Mentor team members and share expertise across multiple disciplines.
Represent CBRE’s RISE values and foster collaboration across teams.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
+ Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
