As a Service Specialist, you’ll be the trusted technical expert representing Siemens in the field—delivering high-impact service and support for building automation systems across northern Philadelphia upwards to the New York state line, including Scranton and surrounding areas. Your role is essential in helping our customers optimize energy use, reduce operational costs, and advance sustainability goals. Whether responding to urgent service calls or executing planned maintenance and upgrades, you’ll be the go-to resource for ensuring system performance and customer satisfaction.
Our new office location will be in Harleysville, PA. While this position reports into this local branch, this position will focus on customer support northwards to the New York state line. Ideal location for this position would be places like Scranton, PA or Allentown, PA.
As a Service Specialist, you will:
Lead service delivery for automation systems, including preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades—both scheduled and on-demandCollaborate with internal teams such as Service Sales, Client Service Managers, and the Digital Service Center to ensure seamless execution of service strategies and digitalization initiatives; develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers to identify needs and resolve issues Maintain compliance with Siemens and customer safety protocols, follow mandatory policies and procedures, coordinate with contractors as needed, and ensure tools and test equipment are properly maintainedManage service tickets and preventive maintenance schedules, perform system checkouts, and support system startups for project transitions to service; complete service ticket documentation and run reportsProvide hands-on training and operational guidance to customer personnel, while identifying and reporting system discrepancies, recommending upgrade opportunities, assisting in pricing repairs and enhancements to existing agreements, and supporting system checkout and startup activitiesParticipate in final job site walks and system turnover activities, and perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth transition from project to service phaseParticipate in on-call rotations and support after-hours service needs (emergency and on-site), including occasional overnight travel; perform repairs as requiredUtilize Siemens tools and remote technologies to monitor, diagnose, and resolve system issues efficiently, while identifying and quoting deficiency repairs and managing associated deadlinesYou will make an impact with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of experience performing preventive maintenance, diagnosing/troubleshooting, and repairing building automation systemsExperience with open protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, or TCP/IP ethernet and networkingProgramming, job start-up, and checkoutAble and willing to work in a variety of circumstances, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high lift equipment, working in ducts, crawl spaces, roofs, basements, above ceilings, and in various conditionsAble to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet as well as able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassistedExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle ProgramLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipWilling and available to work on-call as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidaysPreferred Qualifications:
