Job Title: Building Attendant - Hospital Department: CPH Environmental Services Location: Canton Potsdam Hospital Hours Per Week: 37.5 hours weekly Schedule: 7.5 hour shifts, 3 pm to 11 pm; Variable day, every other weekend and holiday coverage SUMMARY: Maintain sanitary and attractive surroundings, provide excellent customer service, and comply with safety/regulatory guidelines. Comply with OSHA and MSDS practices. RESPONSIBILITIES: + Removal and disposal of trash and waste product + Clean patient rooms, operating rooms, restrooms, offices and hospital common areas within established departmental standards + Maintain floors, strip and wax floors; shampoo carpets according to scheduled maintenance + standards + Maintain walkways to ensure safe access + Respond to visitor, patient and staff requests for assistance + Maintain knowledge of OSHA and MSDS practices + High focus on customer and patient satisfaction + Working as a team towards accomplishing departmental goals REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: + 6 Months industrial/ institutional cleaning experience. UNION: 1199 - Service Maintenance and Clerical (CPH) Note: Not all per diem roles are union eligible EDUCATION: LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE: $17.74 - $25.22 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
