The Tulsa World, a Lee Enterprises company, is hiring a  Part-Time Stationary Building and Facilities Engineer for the night shift (10pm - 6am).  May include weekend shifts.  This position will safely and accurately operate, repair, inspect and maintain HVAC, plumbing & building controls and other related special projects or building needs.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Routine visual inspections of building’s operational status, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting and building controls. Routine light-duty preventive maintenance of building function’s equipment. Safely performs filter replacement, plumbing repairs and HVAC work. May be required to assist outside contractors on contracted maintenance jobs. Respond to trouble calls of building equipment, lighting or plumbing problems. Comply with all company safety protocols in building maintenance operations. Perform other facility related duties as needed. Document shift events in building facilities log.

Ability to work well with other departments Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines The ability to perform all duties of the position in a safe manner, while adhering to all safety rules and regulations Knowledge of Lock out, Tag out procedures Electrical experience is preferred Regular, onsite attendance is required

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED Minimum of 2 years experience working with low-pressure boilers, chillers and HVAC controls City of Tulsa First Class Stationary Engineers license (Limited First Class Acceptable) Able to work 2nd shift during the week and weekends
