Building and Equipment Maintenance Technician

Position Overview

The Facilities Technician is responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of the following systems: Internal Plumbing, Water Treatment Plant, Main Electrical and Generator, HVAC, Air Compressor and Production Equipment.

 

Additionally, the Facilities technician could help to oversees/coordinates and develop the following subcontracting services: Janitorial, Security, Pest Control, Sanitizations, Disinfecting (COVID-19), Fire Extinguisher, Fire Suppression System, Forklift, Electrical installations, Plumbing installations, Inventory spare parts control.

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Execute, plan, and document all preventive and corrective maintenance equipment systems included, but not limited, in the list above in accordance with system manufacturer’s recommendation. Collaborate with different departments for configuration solutions for equipment and other facility needs. Oversee subcontracted services included, but not limited, in the list above. Be available outside of normal business hours for any emergencies Other duties as assigned like drive to collect or pick materials from OMM to another location as well people from and to the border line as needed. Develop electrical and plumbing installations. Collaborates and support during execution for all Installation Qualifications (IQ), Operational Qualifications (OQ) and Performance Qualifications (PQ) activities as required on production fixtures and equipment. Support additional activities, as assigned Training and coaching for other team members. Implementation in conjunction with engineering for the development of projects that include, but are not limited to, reducing downtime and automating equipment or processes. Implementation of troubleshooting on assigned equipment. Realization of electrical and industrial pneumatic installations. Production support while maintaining a positive attitude and service with a sense of urgency to meet company goals. Make modifications to equipment as needed. Execution of predictive maintenance

 

Required Qualifications

At least 5-10 years on production and facilities equipment experience required. Experience performing and document preventive maintenance Extensive knowledge of water treatment systems. Demonstrated experience in maintenance systems with excellent customer service. Ability to effectively work under minimal supervision and as a cross-functional team member. Ability to handle pressure and sense of urgency regarding the company's needs. Proactive attitude and application of own initiative in problem solving. Strong knowledge of electricity, plumbing, pneumatics, and automated control systems.
