Summary

We are looking for a Build & Release Engineer to support Guidewire implementation teams by optimizing the CI/CD platform. This role requires close collaboration with both implementation and cloud operations teams to understand project needs and proactively improve build processes. You'll contribute to standardizing practices across projects, enhancing team performance, and minimizing deployment failures.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:Execute regular deployments and manage environment refreshes (Guidewire product & SQL/DB knowledge required).Collaborate with QA & implementation teams to deploy builds and monitor defects.Coordinate environment configuration with Cloud Ops via support tickets.Build strong relationships with teams to understand CI/CD needs and improve efficiency.Monitor logs/environments for failures and troubleshoot with stakeholders.Enhance reliability and performance of test/build processes.Develop tools for build monitoring, deployment, and performance tracking.Define and implement standardized build/release practices with the broader team.Evaluate and recommend tools/processes to improve software development.
Skills & Experience Required:Expertise in CI tools (e.g., Jenkins) and build tools (e.g., Ant, Maven, Gradle).Prior experience with development or implementation teams.Proficient in scripting (e.g., Bash) and automated testing tools (e.g., JUnit, Selenium).Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities.Solid understanding of version control systems.Confident in building CI pipelines and working in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
