The Opportunity:

UST is looking for a Build & Automation Engineer – BSP CI/CD to support the development and maintenance of automated firmware build and validation pipelines. The role involves working with global teams to streamline automation workflows and infrastructure integration.

Key Responsibilities:

Create and maintain end-to-end automation for BSP builds using Jenkins or Azure DevOps Integrate build pre-checks, firmware flashing, test execution, and result parsing into CI jobs Write modular Python scripts for orchestration, validation, and logging of test workflows Monitor CI job health metrics including success rate, error frequency, and build durations Debug and resolve issues related to build failures, dependency errors, or script bugs Create and maintain YAML/JSON configuration files for platform-specific test cases Implement notification hooks (email, Slack, Teams) for build and test status Manage build artifacts and publish them to internal repositories or designated folders Use Git for source control: branching, merging, tagging, and release management Work with validation teams across India/US/Taiwan to ensure sync of scripts and tools Collaborate with infra/IT to manage Docker images, build servers, and agent nodes

Required Skills:

Strong Python scripting for automation workflows Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools Familiarity with YAML/JSON and configuration management Proficient in Git version control systems Hands-on experience with Linux environments and build orchestration Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills

Desired Skills:

Experience with BSP or firmware automation is a plus Understanding of Docker and container-based workflows Experience with firmware flashing utilities and test frameworks Familiarity with embedded hardware platforms is preferred

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field 5+ years of experience in build automation, firmware CI/CD, or DevOps roles
