Description We are looking for a skilled Budget Analyst to join our team in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. In this contract to hire position, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial planning and analysis, ensuring the organization operates efficiently within its budgetary constraints. Responsibilities: • Develop, manage, and oversee organizational budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals and priorities. • Conduct detailed forecasting and monthly analysis to track financial performance and identify areas for improvement. • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, highlighting variances and proposing actionable solutions. • Collaborate with department leaders to assess budgetary needs and provide expert financial guidance. • Evaluate cost-benefit scenarios for proposed projects and expenses to support decision-making. • Ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines and regulatory requirements. • Recommend adjustments to budgets based on organizational objectives and financial insights. • Maintain accurate records and documentation of financial data for reporting and auditing purposes. • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze complex financial data and create detailed reports. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field. • Extensive experience in budget management, financial forecasting, and analysis. • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to handle complex data sets and create detailed reports. • Strong knowledge of budget processes, including annual operating budgets and cost analysis. • Demonstrated ability to provide clear financial recommendations based on data insights. • Prior experience in higher education or non-profit organizations is highly desirable. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with various departments. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
