Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Budget Analyst for a short-term contract position in Fremont, Ohio. This role involves reviewing and analyzing annual budgets to identify discrepancies and provide insights on changes between fiscal years. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in financial auditing and budget management to ensure accurate reporting. Responsibilities: • Compare current year's budget with previous year's records to identify discrepancies and variances. • Analyze financial reports and document increases or decreases in budget allocations. • Perform accurate calculations to ensure all data aligns with approved budgets. • Collaborate with management to provide insights on changes in the annual operating budget. • Audit financial data to confirm compliance with established budgetary guidelines. • Prepare detailed notes and summaries of budget findings for organizational review. • Support the finance team with any additional tasks related to budget analysis and reporting. • Ensure all calculations and reports meet organizational standards and deadlines. Requirements • Proven experience in budget analysis or financial auditing roles. • Strong understanding of budget processes and annual operating budgets. • Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial data. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies. • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for accurate calculations. • Effective communication skills to present findings clearly. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a short-term role.
