Job Description

Responsibilities:

Teach clinical, simulation, and skills labs with a focus on mental health nursingPlan, implement, and evaluate student learning experiences in clinical settingsCollaborate with other instructors to prepare and grade examinationsMaintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and gradesParticipate in curriculum development and program assessment initiativesProvide student advising and support, including office hours and electronic communicationAttend faculty meetings and participate in committee activities supporting the nursing programStay current with new technologies and safety regulations in nursing education and practiceEnsure clinical assignments meet both student learning needs and facility requirementsContribute to the continuous improvement of instruction quality and program outcomes

QualificationsNo Previous Teaching experience is required! Our Faculty Development training program will provide tools to help you be successful in a class room setting. Hold a valid, active license issued by the State Board of Registered NursingMaster of Nursing or higher degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing or education, administration. OB, Pediatrics or PsychiatryAt least four years’ experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient careA year of Clinical experience within the last five years (Clinical teaching applies toward direct patient care). Clinically competent as defined in CCR Section 1420(c)Expertise in one of the following areas of nursing – Psychiatric, Geriatrics, Med/Surg, Pediatrics, OB-Gyn, Mental Health
