Job Description

What is the opportunity?

This role is responsible for business system analysis activities on medium-to-large size projects for the DCP Ecosystem. The role demonstrates advanced knowledge and ability, can apply the Business Analysis competency in new or complex situations and guides other professionals for delivery and prioritization within the agile team. The role is responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery [including planning/prioritization, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support] for changes to Business Areas and Technology.

What will you do?

Business Analysis Consulting and Documentation

Facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery and analysis

Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives

Manage risks, assumptions, and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties

Validate functional system test plan and test case have full coverage of the critical requirements

Support UAT and PIV activities including planning, defect triage and root-cause analysis for requirements-related issues

Within a Program

Elicit program requirements scope and conduct scope impact analysis to identify business / operational impacts

Establish program level processes and governance for managing:

Requirements reviews and sign-off

Requirements risks, assumptions, and constraints across projects’ requirements

Projects’ requirements interdependencies within a program

Artefact repository, configuration and document management for the projects within the program

Ensure requirements quality and consistency across projects, through program requirements governance

Possess key business process knowledge and use portfolio of system knowledge within the lab’s scope

Leadership and Relationship Management

Conduct regular assessments of the requirements progress on projects against the business objectives

Facilitate communications between the lab and business / operations / IT stakeholders

Enable others to work collaboratively across functional groups by establishing and maintaining a culture of trust and shared vision

Coordinate and monitor multiple simultaneous project activities to prevent or minimize potential negative impacts

What do you need to succeed?

5+ years of working experience as a Business Analyst and/or Business Systems Analyst

Advanced knowledge and proven experience with Strategy Analysis including understanding of business goals and objectives, assessing capability gaps, assessing risks of the change, and determining solution scope and approach

Expert knowledge of agile methodologies and proven experience of working on agile projects

Expert knowledge in requirements management and communication – requirements walkthroughs, scope and change management; traceability; backlog management

Working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
