**Position Overview:** The Material Specialist is responsible for ensuring all departments have the needed aluminum parts using scrap reports, cycle counts, and requests from departments for needed parts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, in-house manufacturing support, inventory adjustments, processing of hot parts requests, adjusting bulk aluminum weights, maintaining various reports, and processing non-conforming parts information.

**Roles and Responsibilities:**
+ Process scrap tickets and tags for all manufactured parts, enter in appropriate software.
+ Process bulk aluminum usage, enter in appropriate tracking software.
+ Answer phones, communicate with all personnel, ensuring all departments have needed manufactured parts.
+ Develop, edit, and email reports and schedules. Assist departments with any concerns as it pertains to the information prepared.
+ Ensure that department supervisors and employees follow proper material handling procedures for non-conforming parts, return parts, and communicate shortage requests.
+ Develop new ways to improve material processes with JIT schedules and improvements to the current procedures.
+ Help drive continuous improvement through suggestions and common parts.
+ Attend meetings as required that pertain to inventory management and model year change over.
+ Track and correct any inventory discrepancies or changes needed to keep a steady flow of parts for the manufacturing lines.
+ Assist to coordinate and execute semi or yearly physical inventories.
+ Aide all departments with inventory questions and issues. Investigate inventory changes to determine cause and corrective actions.
+ Cycle count as needed or requested by the departments.
+ Confirm and investigate Bill of Materials errors to the OBMS system. Work with appropriate personnel to correct BOM and drawing errors.
+ Must follow safety rules and procedures, attend and participate in safety training sessions, report hazards, and practice good housekeeping practices in the work area.

**Required and Preferred Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or GED.
+ Three months’ experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
+ Detailed and organized person.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Excel, Outlook and Word
+ Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen and LSS a plus.
+ Ability to effectively communicate, train, and perform all required job functions with a work partner while in proximity with other co-workers.
+ Possess a positive work attitude, willingness to learn all departmental job functions, and adhere to safety and quality requirements.
**Working Conditions:**
Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, walking and delivering parts. Candidates must be able to walk up and down stairs and go outdoors to conduct business in other departments of the company. Candidate must be able to lift/ carry up to 20 pounds. Personal protective equipment is mandatory.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $19.50-$22.50, hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
