Woodside Energy is progressing the Browse Project, a major offshore gas development located in the northern region of Western Australia. The Perth-based Browse Business Unit reports to the Executive Vice President of Technical & Energy Developments and is advancing the project toward FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) readiness.
The Browse development comprises subsea production wells and gathering systems, a greenhouse gas injection system, two gas and condensate FPSOs, and a gas export pipeline connecting to the North West Shelf (NWS) infrastructure. Position OverviewWoodside is seeking an experienced Operations Readiness Engineer to join the Browse Upstream Operations Readiness team in Perth. The successful candidate will support integrated asset readiness planning throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to the development and implementation of strategies to enable safe and efficient operations.
This position is focused on delivering FEED entry strategies for the Subsea and FPSO scopes and providing detailed input into the FEED Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages. The role will involve collaboration across engineering, operations, digital, and procurement teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport delivery of operations readiness activities for the Browse Upstream development.
Develop and implement FEED entry strategies for subsea and FPSO scopes.
Contribute operational input into FEED ITTs to ensure readiness and alignment.
Engage closely with engineering, corporate, and contracting & procurement teams to ensure operational considerations are embedded early.
Support digital readiness and data integration for future operations.
Promote strong governance, ethical conduct, and alignment with Woodside’s values.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet readiness and project objectives.
Candidate RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years’ multidisciplinary experience within the oil and gas sector.
Proven experience in Maintenance, Operations, and Subsea Engineering.
Proficient in digital, data, and IT systems relevant to asset operations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
Demonstrated commitment to operational excellence, governance, and compliance.
Additional InformationRole is based at Woodside’s Perth office. No site travel is currently required.
