An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Broker Support professional to join Guy Carpenter in Sydney. Supporting our treaty team, you will be responsible for gathering and preparing data, addressing client and reinsurer queries, and managing placement support activities on a range of accounts.

The successful individual will be able to effectively manage multiple administrative tasks and responsibilities to a high professional standard. Acting as a key member of the team, you will be vital in enabling colleagues to focus on strategic growth and customer excellence.


Broker Support

We will count on you to:

Produce submissions, renewal information packs, post renewal reports, renewal trip packs, strategy presentations, etc.Collate and analyse market information and company dataCoordinate meetings between the client and reinsurer(s)Produce contract wordings and endorsementsTrack placement progressAssist with responding to client requests for information, coordinating with other departments as necessaryLiaise with Clients, Reinsurers and internal colleagues to ensure effective delivery of service and informationComplete data entry into internal information systemsFile managementEnsure compliance to professional standardsAdherence to Company and departmental proceduresRemain up to date with latest market trends.

What you need to have: 

3+ years’ experience within insurance/reinsurance broking or underwriting arenaAbility to work effectively with colleagues at all levels, must be a good team playerStrong eye for detail and accuracy imperativeDemonstrated organisation skills, with the ability to manage prioritiesProven experience using Word, Excel and PowerPointStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independentlyCuriosity to learn, think critically and ask questions to identify process improvements.
