Your New Role...
The Freelance Broadcast Designer is responsible for the design and execution of broadcast graphics; conceptualization and design for live sports telecasts, design and creation of insert graphics, direction of some motion graphics, and support for the broadcast production teams.
This role requires collaboration with other members of the creative team as well as all production and sales personnel. This role will also require up-to-date industry and emerging technology knowledge to be able to provide strategically sound and deployable solutions that work specifically to enhance our broadcast coverage.
Role Accountabilities...
Maintain a continuous awareness of what is trending in the various graphic design arenas. This includes all platforms (print, linear, digital). Maintain sharp design skills and sensibilities.
Conceptualize and design motion graphics for live sports telecasts. Understand and provide guidance and counsel for graphic requests submitted from production and sales personnel. Must have the availability to work weekends and some evenings as needed.
Collaborate with Directors, Producers, AD’s and PA’s to ensure that requests are being met. Maintain in daily communication with various creative teams and production.
Maintain a competitive advantage in the marketplace by fulfilling the requirements of the brand and league partners, thus providing for the best possible fan experience.
Must have a sound understanding of software and hardware used to create motion graphics. Find creative solutions to daily production challenges and keep abreast of changing technologies in live sports broadcast graphics production.
Qualifications & Experiences...
- Must have experience or understanding of graphic design. An understanding of motion graphic design is a plus. Experience with software/hardware associated with such work (Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects) is necessary.

- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, New Media Design, or related field.
