Starting Rate $35.01+ per hour based upon experience.

Bridgestone Americas is seeking a Bridgestone Maintenance Technician (BMT) for our Wilson, NC facility. The BMT will report to a Group/Shift Lead (Supervisor) and will provide emergency and routine multi-craft maintenance support to the operations departments in a highly automated environment. This position (electrical, mechanical, and electronic) will be responsible for troubleshooting mechanical, electronic and electrical industrial equipment for a designated department within the plant. The ideal candidate must have a continuous improvement mindset while achieving the overall objectives with preventative maintenance and quick repair for trouble calls from operating technicians. The Wilson Plant is a highly automated tire manufacturing facility and produces Passenger Car and Light Truck Radial tires on a 24/7 basis.
ResponsibilitiesTroubleshooting and repairing Mechanical, Electronic, and Electrical Industrial Equipment
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment including Hydraulics and Pneumatic EquipmentPerform Quick Repair for Trouble Calls from Operating TechniciansTroubleshooting and repairing Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)Continuous improvement activities (Kaizen)Minimum Qualifications3+ years industrial maintenance technician experience in a multi-craft industrial manufacturing environment.

Completed apprenticeship program AND 2+ years multi-craft industrial maintenance experience

2-year technical degree (AS) in electronics, robotics, general technology, mechatronics or related technical field AND at least 2+ years of experience in a multi-craft industrial maintenance environment or equivalent military experience

4+ years of high-tech maintenance related military experience (e.g. US Navy- Nuclear or Aviation field, US Air Force Missile Technicians, etc.).
