Job Description

 

AECOM is seeking a highly qualified Bridge Inspection / Dive Specialist Engineer III to be a part of our Austin and Gulf Coast team. The Austin and Texas bridge teams are growing quickly and in order to meet the demand of our clients we are seeking talented individuals to join our group.

This role will provide the opportunity to directly be involved with and supervise underwater structural assessments on projects throughout the United States.

This position will require supervising, performing, and assisting with surface supplied diving operations. Execute each project ensuring a satisfied customer including legal requirements such as: ADCI regulations, USACE provisions and state and federal laws.Ensuring the safety of all divers and equipment, conducting safety briefings, and responding to emergencies.Maintaining accurate records of diving operations,Out of state travel may be up to 4 weeks at a time on rare occurrences.Meals, Lodging, and travel company paid.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

BA/BS in EngineeringValid Driver’s license.ACDE Dive School Diploma or Military Diving DiplomaADCI Diving Supervisor (Or ability to obtain with Military Experience)First Aid, CPR/AED CertifiedO2 Provider QualifiedMedically Fit to Dive

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in engineering fieldPE license in state of TX or ability to obtain via reciprocity, is highly preferred.ADCI Mixed Gas DiverADCI Mixed Gas Diving SupervisorFHWA-NHI-130055 or 130056 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges CertificationFHWA-NHI-130091 Underwater Bridge InspectionADCI Air Diver or ADCI Air Diving SupervisorTWIC CardAbility to perform bridge design calculations independently, perform quality control, demonstrate ability to communicate clearly with other engineering disciplines and CADD staff, develop technical reports and document client communication.

Additional InformationNo relocation offered with this opportunity.Due to project work requirements, H-1B or US work sponsorship is not offered with this opportunity.Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $75,000.00 - $110,000.00.
