Bridge House Manager

OVERVIEW: 

The Bridge House Manager will assist program participants in developing self-sufficiency goals to aid in transitioning to a permanent living situation. The supervisor will also encourage the men in their recovery and help them toward a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and long-term relationship with the Corps. In addition, the Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring a well-run house which abides by program rules and Salvation Army policies. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Encourage and assist all residents in to achievement their 18-24 month goals Keep residents informed of all weekly and monthly program requirements Facilitate and lead weekly in-house resident meetings Enforce all Bridge House program rules and policies Complete, maintain, and submit resident tracking form on a weekly basis Ensure residence is kept in a clean and safe manner, with the resident’s rooms inspected weekly or as needed Ensure that each participant is involved in maintaining the safety and cleanliness of residence Conduct drug screens and breathalyzer tests scheduled and at random Collect program fees and submit to the Corps office Encourage program participants to be involved in Corps programming, including Sunday mornings Plan and organize fellowship opportunities for residents Attend staff meetings and meet regularly with Officers and staff (ARC and Corps) to coordinate program activities Recruit men to program when vacancies arise Keep current on all Salvation Army trainings required for the position, including PTM and Driving Other related duties as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent (required) CA driver’s license (required) Experience with Microsoft programs Experience with Christian based drug and alcohol recovery programs (preferred) Experience overseeing men in a residential recovery program (preferred) Ability to lead Able to offer spiritual, moral, and emotional advice to program participants Preferred ability to maintain property including make minor repairs

Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently Ability to have a high level of integrity and confidentiality Team player Ability to lead

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. (usually file boxes)

Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software Relevant janitorial and maintenance equipment
