Job Description:
Productively assemble, configure, operate and tend machines that braze metal products, assemblies and components.
Major Areas of Accountability
Performs various assembly operations per specifications and prescribed procedures.
Operates a variety of brazing machines to braze various assemblies to engineering specifications and drawings. Uses various brazing alloys and fluxes.Inspects parts visually and using test equipment per prescribed procedures.Sets up brazing and test machines.Makes minor machine adjustments. Must recognize and adjust machines for changes in atmospheric conditions.Ensures that safe work procedures are followed, and that proper safety equipment is used when required.Diagnose faults encountered during testing and conducts repairs.Sets up and operates roll stamper to mark parts.Supports the department team and continuous improvements concepts by suggesting changes/improvements of setups and processes. Assists in documentation and control of these processes in accordance with established policies/procedures.Maintains department records per established procedures.Seeks and recommends ways to eliminate potential quality problems, to improve procedures and methods, and to increase department/division productivity utilizing quality control problem solving techniques.Performs other work as apparent or assigned.Supports the ITW/Smith principles and philosophies:

High school diploma or GED.No allergies to oils, solvents or solutions.Physical ability to lift, carry and maneuver 50 pounds.Physical ability to stand all day.Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative and team-oriented environment.Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively with customers, suppliers and other employees.Demonstrated ability to read and interpret all applicable blueprints, schematics and diagrams.Company Description
