Job Description:

As the Brand Manager, you will manage the development and implementation of bp customer-facing brands (products, services and offers), with particular focus on M&C brands inc. bp ultimate, BPme, bp pulse, WBC.  You will work closely with M&C Marketing Network of Excellence (NoE) to develop and implement the M&C sub-brand strategies and provide guidance and expertise for sub-entity and local market brand management. This role ensures alignment between our corporate objectives and the way our brands connect with both B2C and B2B customers, across fuels, lubricants and emerging EV solutions.

What you will deliver 

Support the partnership with the Corporate & External Affairs (C&EA) team in applying the bp corporate brand strategy and activating JVs and licences (B2B & B2C), adhering to the defined fundamentals and principles and ensuring seamless collaboration and brand consistency. 

Own and govern the cross-C&P portfolio of existing bp customer facing brands (products, services and offers) and the development of any new cross C&P brands, ensuring brand activities are aligned with bp Masterbrand.  

Develop and implement the brand strategy for M&C sub-brands (inc. bp ultimate, BPme, bp pulse, WBC), ensuring market alignment to brand positioning, architecture, identity and guardrails to create a consistent and compelling brand presence across markets.  

In partnership with M&C NoE, support the development of new brands and strategic oversight of any significant refresh/updates to existing brands relating to visual identity, positioning, TOV, logo  

Work with M&C NoE to align on commercial brand decisions such as brand partnerships and co-created deliverables such as the integrated brand platform.  

Responsible for offering brand expertise as a service to M&C NoE and M&C regional brands  

Ac as the single point of contact for NOJV activity such as Indonesia, Jio-bp and China, providing consultancy services relating to brand strategy, frameworks and toolkits for those entities 

Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between global, regional, and local teams. 

Resolve brand-related queries and challenges for joint ventures and brand licensed markets, acting as the single point of contact for all brand topics. 

Optimise brand strategy capabilities across C&P by identifying gaps, developing training, and onboarding programmes for marketers and Hub employees. 

What you will need to be successful  

Solid experience in brand strategy and management, preferably within a multi-national matrix organisation. 

Proven ability to implement brand strategies that drive measurable business results. 

Strong understanding of brand positioning, architecture, and identity, with hands-on experience managing sub-brands. 

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address brand-related challenges across multiple markets. 

Exceptional collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams. 

A customer-centric approach, with an ability to tailor strategies to diverse audiences in both B2C and B2B environments. 

Attention to detail and organisational skills, ensuring consistent and impactful brand execution by other teams across the organisation.

Your role sits in the Brand Network of Excellence (NoE), which is made up of a diverse and versatile team of marketers and strategists, working together as a global centre of expertise.  

The NoE collaborates across markets to set strategic direction and standardise innovative approaches for pan-C&P business, working closely with priority local markets to co-create key deliverables and plans. 

You will also work alongside cross-functional experts from external teams, including the Corporate & External Affairs (C&EA) team, M&C and Castrol Marketing NoEs, and the Marketing Excellence (MEX) NoE.  

You’ll also partner closely with joint venture partners and brand licensed markets, building strong relationships to ensure brand consistency and effectiveness.
