Role Objective

The Brand Lead is responsible for leading the comprehensive brand strategy in Portugal, overseeing its development, launch, and growth. This position involves coordinating a multifunctional team that includes Market Access, Sales, Medical, Supply Chain, Business Insight & Analytics, Regulatory, Quality…, ensuring agile execution aligned with the brand's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Design and lead the short- and long-term strategic vision for the brand, aligning all involved functions.Engage with established and emerging customers to understand market evolution, pathology, and product, and proactively direct efforts toward those goals.Develop and communicate a clear understanding of the organization, market, competitors, partners, and market trends.Identify opportunities to optimize the brand strategy using data, industry best practices, and experimentation.Build a clear vision of a well-defined target customer base and the best approach to address each stakeholder.Manage the complete brand budget (P&L), including resource allocation decisions for the multifunctional team.Implement agile brand planning processes, ensuring proper governance and participation in resource review sessions.Oversee and motivate a team of brand managers to achieve the company's marketing objectives, ensuring an omnichannel and personalized approach.Provide input to BI&A teams for the development of advanced analyses and utilize them to inform and refine brand strategies.Actively participate in calibration sessions and provide feedback on the performance of multifunctional team members.Drive and ensure the adoption of new working methods across the brand team, including omnichannel strategies, modular content creation, and collaboration with agencies.

Requirements and Skills

Winning mentality and customer orientation.Experience in leadership roles within commercial, access, or medical functions; a traditional marketing profile is not necessarily required.Experience in managing budgets and P&L.Fluency in analytical models and the ability to translate analyses into actionable strategies.Business transformation and commercial excellence experience.Experience managing both direct and indirect teams in matrix environments.Proficiency in customer strategies, digital content production, and omnichannel approaches.Ability to lead in a dynamic business environment and manage multiple projects effectively.Capacity to foster a collaborative environment and work within agile operational models.Commitment to integrity and sound judgment in navigating compliance with BMS policies and procedures.Fluency in Portuguese and English (Spanish will be considered a plus).

Additional assets for this candidacy:

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the Portuguese and Spanish markets.MBA education.Experience in other industries, preferably dynamic and complex environments.
