We’re currently seeking a Brand Communications Manager to join our Headquarters team!
The Manager, Brand Communications is responsible for developing and executing Mister Car Wash's earned media strategy and community engagement programs. They will lead public relations initiatives, corporate communications, and community impact programs to enhance brand reputation and strengthen local market presence. This role drives strategic storytelling that reinforces our brand purpose and positions Mister Car Wash as a positive force in the communities we serve.
What You Will Do:
Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategy to drive brand awareness and preference through earned media opportunities. Lead the development and execution of community engagement and corporate giving strategies, including local partnerships, impact initiatives, and employee volunteer programs in partnership with the Human Resources team. Manage PR agency relationships and coordinate earned media activations for brand campaigns, business announcements, and thought leadership initiatives. Create and implement measurement frameworks to track and report on PR and community engagement program impact. Develop and maintain crisis communications protocols and support issues management as needed. Partner with real estate team to support market entry through proactive community relations and government affairs initiatives. Lead ESG communications strategy and storytelling, partnering with key stakeholders to advance sustainability and social impact narratives. Build and manage relationships with community organizations, non-profit partners, and influencers at both local and national levels. Develop, execute, and optimize fundraising programs to enable community organizations to generate funds through car wash sales. Create guidelines and processes for fundraising program management at the store level. Oversee the corporate giving budget to ensure strategic alignment with brand objectives. Create internal and external communications materials and provide media training and support for company spokespersons to support PR and community initiatives.
How You Will Shine:
Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing, or related field required. 8+ years of progressive experience in public relations, corporate communications, or community relations roles. A minimum of 2+ years of experience developing and managing community impact programs required. Multi-unit retail or consumer services experience a plus. Strong strategic thinking and program development capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience managing PR agencies and earned media campaigns. Knowledge of ESG communications and corporate social responsibility best practices. Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives. Experience developing and managing community partnerships. Crisis communications and issues management experience. Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. Strong analytical and reporting capabilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and common PR/communications tools. Experience with community engagement program measurement and impact reporting.
