Brand Activation & Category Development Manager
Fulltime
As Brand Activation & Category Development Manager, you are responsible for driving brand visibility and category growth through impactful in-store and online activations, data-driven retail strategies, and strong partnerships with retailers. The scope of this role is primarily within Scandinavia, with a particular focus on Denmark. You’ll lead the execution of local brand activations, translate shopper insights into tailored growth strategies, and optimize performance across assortment, pricing, and promotions. With a focus on sustainability and consumer well-being, you combine analytical thinking, project leadership, and creativity to build compelling brand experiences and strengthen our position as a category expert in the retail landscape.
The Head of Category Management, who is also the direct line manager for this role, is based in the Netherlands, as is the Marketing Manager Communication & Activation, with whom you will work closely. While this role requires a good level of independence and self-starting ability, you will be part of a supportive cross-border team. In Denmark, there is also a local team in place that you will collaborate with closely on a daily basis, so strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities: What will you do?
Brand Activation
+ Ensure consistent brand visibility across in-store and online activations.
+ Execute marketing plans with the external sales force and promotional partnerships with retailers to drive conversion.
+ Adapt and implement brand activation plans online (SoMe, cooperation with influencers, website), including CSR-focused initiatives.
+ Define activation KPIs, monitor performance, and optimize ROI.
Category Development
+ Translate category growth drivers into retailer-specific plans across assortment, pricing, shelf, and promotion.
+ Analyze Nielsen and other data sources to identify trends and opportunities.
+ Lead assortment optimization and advise retailers based on data-driven insights.
+ Build compelling, insight-based selling stories in collaboration with sales.
+ Act as a category expert by identifying market developments and shopper trends.

We’re looking for someone who:
+ Preferably has a bachelor’s (or higher) level of working and thinking.
+ A proven record of relevant work experience in category management and/or Brand management (i.e. product portfolio management, brand activation, communication development), preferably in FMCG; at a retailer, within a successful A-brand organization or Nielsen/GfK
+ Knowledge and experience with Nielsen to build specific analyzes and reports to support the business
+ Affinity with food and aware of impact on health and well-being in our society
+ Thorough knowledge of the retail market within your scope (mainly Denmark)
+ Fluent in Danish & English language skills
