What is the opportunity?

The RBC Dominion Securities Management team located in Burlington is looking for a Branch Operations Assistant to join their team! The Branch Operation Assistant provides support to DS clients, Branch Management Team, Investment Advisors and Associates. This role ensures the branch is following procedures as outline in the Internal Controls policies as well as regulatory requirements.    

This role will also work closely providing the branch staff support on their technology related needs.  The support needs will requesting access, troubleshooting issues, installation or replacement of technology, hardware and applications.

What will you do?

Responsible for processing all branch cash transactions, including cheques, Bankwires and for processing physical securities 

Ensure Branch and Cage reports are prepared, printed, reviewed (where assigned), distributed and/or presented to Branch Management or review.

Account opening approvals, this includes reviewing documentation and scanning forms into the documentation workflow system, pulling documentation for branch staff as needed  

 Support branch management team with administrative functions: order management of the office supplies; boardroom scheduling, providing support to Branch Administrators when needed, assisting in ordering lunch for branch presentations, support with premises management

System Access: Manage & coordinate system access requests (new, change, remove), new employee onboarding, complete yearly control and application risk audit attestations

Proactive communication with branch staff to assess any support, including walking around to speak with branch staff in person. Participate in monthly technology conference calls and quarterly operation/admin meetings, sharing ideas and providing feedback

Nice to Have

Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures, an asset

Experience in the securities industry is an asset
