Position Overview:
The Branch Manager is responsible for driving performance and ensuring the branch operates efficiently, profitably, and safely. This position serves as the bridge between the Boise Cascade's executive leadership and the employees at the branch level, focusing on leadership, employee engagement, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and achieving business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical / Business:
Manage the location’s financial performance. Strong understanding of P&L, EBITDA, and key measurements. Develop and implement the location’s business plan, capital budget, and key budget. Align business plans, capital planning, and operational strategies with regional and divisional goals.Industry:
Experience managing Vendor and Customer Relationships in a wholesale environment. Understanding of the labor market, including employee recruitment and retention.Leadership:
Coach, lead, and development of associates. Working with your management team to: Create sales strategies to maximize market penetration in the assigned territory. Optimize operations to maximize productivity of labor, working capital, and facilities. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, corporate, and divisional laws, policies, and procedures. Strong conflict resolution and interpersonal skills.Safety:
Drive and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous improvement. Comprehensive understanding of OSHA standards, safety protocols, and reporting requirements.Other:
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Familiarity with branch operations including administrative, sales, product management and operations. Experience in developing talent. Proficiency with internal business & communication tools including (MS Office, Agility, PowerBI). Strong commitment to company values.Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: College degree or equivalent experience in a related job function. Office environment with minimal physical exertion.
Preferred Qualifications: Requires comprehensive knowledge of the building materials industry, typically more than ten (10) years in related job function; advanced degree a plus.
