Branch Banking Procedures Consultant

Wells Fargo is seeking a senior Branch Banking Procedures Consultant supporting Consumer, Small and Business Banking (CSBB). Reporting to the Head of Automated Banker Support and Procedures, this role will champion the modernization of our branch procedure documentation by integrating AI-driven capabilities and reimagining how we deliver clear, scalable, and compliant guidance to our front-line teams.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical writer with a passion for simplifying complex content and a strong understanding of AI and prompt engineering. This individual will play a pivotal role in embedding generative AI into team workflows to enhance speed, consistency, and scalability across the branch network.

In this role, you will:

Craft development and execution of a comprehensive strategy to transform branch procedure documentation, leveraging AI and automation to streamline content creation, enhance scalability, and improve efficiencyServe as a subject matter expert in technical writing, ensuring procedures are clear, concise, and aligned with regulatory and operational standardsDesign and implement prompt engineering strategies to integrate generative AI into the team’s content development lifecycleCollaborate with cross-functional partners including Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Technology to ensure procedures meet business and regulatory requirementsDevelop and maintain a scalable framework for AI-assisted procedure generation, version control, and governance, in accordance with risk strategies Champion innovation and change management across the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and digital enablement.Provide mentorship and training to team members on AI tools, writing best practices, and content strategyResearch moderately complex business, operational, and strategic initiatives that require analytical skills, basic knowledge of organizational strategy and Business Execution, and understanding of international businessWork independently to make recommendations for support function by providing support and leadershipAssist in the planning and execution of a variety of programs and initiatives that may include risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer experienceCollaborate and consult with team leaders in developing project plans, policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in technical writing, operational procedures, or a related fieldDemonstrated experience with AI tools and platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, Writer AI, Notebook LM or similar, as well as emerging agentic platforms like OpenAI Swarm and Google Agent SpaceHands-on experience with prompt engineering and large language models (LLMs)Experience writing clear, structured prompts for generative AI tasks such as summarization, rewriting documents, and content transformationProven ability to design and implement agentic solutions to solve business problemsLight Python and SQL skills (optional) for connecting LLMs to underlying data sources and enabling light automation workflows.Experience building or deploying writing agents to support content development workflowsStrong collaboration and partnering skills across cross-functional teamsExcellent organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skillsStrong time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlinesHigh attention to detail and accuracy in content creation and reviewAbility to identify inefficiencies, streamline business processes, and drive changeExperience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a teamExperience researching, developing, writing, and editing operational procedures and documentsDemonstrated ability to meet high production and quality standardsAI-related certifications (e.g., Microsoft AI Fundamentals, Prompt Engineering Specializations, etc.) preferredExperience managing projects related to business process implementation, certification efforts, or web publicationAbility to partner with line-of-business subject matter experts to analyze and execute content updates

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$87,000.00 - $168,000.00
