Job Description
As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating multiple pieces of equipment during each shift, including CNC saws, drills, CNC angle machines, sheers, brake press, and coping machines. All equipment uses the same software, making transitions between machines seamless. You will work based on nightly orders and must be adaptable to learn all equipment. Additionally, you will gather your own raw steel beams or plates using a forklift or overhead crane.
ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC saws, drills, CNC angle machines, sheers, brake press, and coping machines.Transition between equipment using the same software.Gather raw materials using a forklift and/or overhead crane.Ensure precision in measuring using tape measures and other tools.Read and interpret blueprints accurately.Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues promptly.Inspect products for quality assurance.Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience in CNC operations with various equipment.Proficiency in reading tape measures and converting fractions to decimals.Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes.Ability to work second shifts and 10-hour shifts, including overtime and occasional Saturdays.Attention to detail and strong safety awareness.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in steel or heavy industry preferred.Ability to work in a loud, heavy industrial environment.Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions, both hot and cold.Comfortable working in the yard, moving and offloading large steel pieces.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
You will work in a 200,000 sq. foot steel fabrication shop, with a focus on safety. The facility includes overhead cranes, welding stations, and metal fabricating machines. You must be comfortable working in a loud and non-climate-controlled environment, requiring steel toe boots and safety glasses. The second shift runs from 3:30 PM to 2 AM, Monday through Thursday, and 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM on Fridays, with occasional Saturday shifts based on workload.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
