Bowling Equipment Repairer Leader NL-07
Summary The FMWRC mission is to create and maintain "FIRST CHOICE" MWR products and services for America's Army, essential to a ready, self-reliant force. This position is located at Bowl Arena Lanes on JBLM. Responsibilities Leads 3 or more employees who are assigned to the lane area of the facility, performing regular nonsupervisory duties and is responsible to supervisor for assuring that the work assignments of the group led are carried out. Maintains, adjusts, and repairs a variety of bowling equipment having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies. Diagnoses equipment malfunctions, and refers to manufacturer's diagrams and specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Uses test equipment such as continuity testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and feeler gages. Conducts operational checks, visually checking for worn or damaged parts. Traces wiring, disassembles equipment, makes adjustments, repairs or replaces defective parts, cleans, lubricates, and reassembles equipment. Determines which mechanical assemblies are malfunctioning and decides which parts and mechanisms can be reworked and which should be replaced with new parts. Makes repairs and adjustments. Repairs cracks, chips, and splinters in bowling pins and lanes using the appropriate materials and methods. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Ability to do the work of the position under normal supervision and demonstrated work experience directly related to the duties and skills described above. 2. Knowledge of bowling equipment assembly, repair, and use of measuring instruments, ability to interpret instructions, specification and trouble shoot equipment. 3. Ability to lead employees engaged in technical work related to this position. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position. All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee. Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will be paid. Retention incentive or bonus in the amount of $5,000 is authorized. This incentive will be paid as a lump sum after 6 months of employment in good standing. The incentive requires a 6 month service agreement which will begin on the entry on duty (start) date. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
