Position Overview:

As a key member of the Boston Whaler team, you will lead the design and delivery of dynamic training programs that empower employees to thrive in their roles and contribute to departmental success. This role is central to fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence across the organization.

You will be responsible for developing and managing targeted training initiatives that support both new employee onboarding and ongoing professional development. Training content will span a diverse range of topics, including product knowledge, compliance protocol, internal systems, production processes, and train-the-trainer facilitation. By aligning training strategies with business goals, you’ll help drive performance, engagement, and long-term success across multiple departments.

Essential Functions:

Design and implement training agendas and coursework for new hires and existing employees across multiple departments.Coordinate Training Schedules. Collaborate with internal teams and facilitators to ensure timely, efficient, and effective delivery of training sessions.Maintain and update participant guides, instructor manuals, job aids, teaching tools, train-the-trainer content, and assessments.Update Programs for Continuous Improvement. Revise training content to reflect evolving business processes and support ongoing operational enhancements.Document Coaching and Training Procedures.  Create and maintain clear documentation for coaching protocols and internal training workflows.Track Participation and Progress.  Monitor program enrollment, completion rates, and maintain accurate records of training activities.Lead Cross-Training Initiatives. Facilitate cross-training efforts to build team versatility and support multi-functional skill developmentEvaluate and Enhance Training Effectiveness. Assess the impact of training initiatives and implement improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.

Required Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in communications, Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.In lieu of a degree, candidates may qualify with two or more years of relevant education and experience, in addition to the experience outlined in the Essential Functions.Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills to engage diverse audiences and convey information clearly.Ability to effectively utilize technology/tools to deliver training in multiple formatsAbility to identify learning gaps and tailor training delivery to accommodate different learning styles.Ability to assess associate comprehension and provide constructive feedback to reinforce learning.Ability to utilize new approaches and techniques for training including blended learningAbility to evaluate associates' understandingStrong understanding of business metrics and how training impacts organizational performance.Capacity to respond to unexpected challenges with flexibility, professionalism, and composure.

Preferred Qualification:

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt trainedABYC/NMMA CertificationExperience with other fiberglass manufacturing processes including but not limited to; Trim & Grind, Finishing, LaminationMarine related experience

Shop floor working environment.Shop floor is non-climate controlled. Temperature fluctuates with outside environmental conditions, such as air temperature, radiant heat from sunlight, air movement, and humidity levels.Frequent exposure to high temperatures, including a hot and humid environment, especially during summer months.Noise level is moderate with intervals of spikesRequired to wear safety glasses, Tyvex aprons, half mask respirator, and utilize other safety equipment and personal protection equipment (PPE) while present on the production/shop floor.Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, resins, fiberglass dust & cloths, epoxy, composites, and other chemicals.Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time.Ability to regularly bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, reach, climb, and lift or move up to 35 pounds.Vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $24.00- $33.006 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
