Position Overview:
As part of the talented Boston Whaler Maintenance team, you will _be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of building systems and grounds. This role ensures that all facilities are safe, functional, and aesthetically maintained, supporting a productive and welcoming environment for staff and visitors._

Essential Functions:
+ Maintain landscaping elements including turf, trees, shrubs, fences, and irrigation systems
+ Install, inspect, and repair equipment, retaining walls, signage, and surfaces (asphalt/concrete)
+ Remove graffiti, litter, and debris, empty trash receptacles
+ Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, plows, loaders
+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
+ Assist with seasonal tasks such as storm cleanup
+ Support setup and breakdown for events or facility changes
+ Collaborate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations
+ Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed
+ May perform other duties as necessary.

Required Qualifications:
+ Must have a High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Vocational or technical training in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general maintenance is highly preferred
+ 2 years of hands-on experience in building or ground maintenance
+ Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals
+ Experience operating landscaping equipment and power tools
+ PC based software experience preferred.
+ Ability to work with fellow coworkers in close proximity and in a team, environment displaying mutual respect
+ Ability to fluently speak, read, understand, and write English
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Proactive team player who is a self-starter with constant attention to improvement.
+ Ability to remain extremely focused and organized with a high attention to detail / high degree of accuracy.
+ Able to work with multiple priorities and people.
+ Marine experience preferred but not required
This role involves both indoor and outdoor work across various facility and grounds settings. Outdoor duties require exposure to Florida’s natural elements, including high humidity, extreme heat, heavy rain, and occasional storms. Work may be performed on uneven terrain and in areas with dust, gas, or fumes. Seasonal tasks such as hurricane preparation and cleanup may be required.

• Shop floor working environment.
• Shop floor is non-climate controlled. Temperature fluctuates with outside environmental conditions, such as air temperature, radiant heat from sunlight, air movement, and humidity levels.
• Frequent exposure to high-temperatures, including a hot and humid environment, especially during summer months.
• Noise level is moderate with intervals of spikes
• Required to wear safety glasses, Tyvex aprons, half mask respirator, and utilize other safety equipment and personal protect equipment (PPE) while present on the production/shop floor.
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, resins, fiberglass dust & cloths, epoxy, composites, and other chemicals.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of times.
• Ability to work a 10+ hour shift standing, bending, reaching
• Ability to regularly bend, stoop, kneel, twist, crouch, reach, climb, and lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and reach
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as mowers, loaders, and plows
• May need to work at heights or in confined spaces
• Must be able to respond to emergency maintenance needs, sometimes outside of regular hours
The anticipated pay range for this position is $17.00 to $25.85 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
