Bookkeeper (Tax Experience)

Our client, a leading provider in financial services, is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be part of the accounting department supporting a diverse range of clients. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple clients effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Bookkeeper

Location: Ozark, AL

Pay Range: $45,000 - $60,000

What's the Job?

Guide clients through the tax preparation process with clarity and professionalism. Gather and organize essential financial documents such as W-2s, 1099s, and other income and expense records. Accurately input financial data into tax preparation software or internal databases. Apply current federal, state, and local tax laws to identify eligible deductions and calculate tax liabilities or refunds. Prepare, review, and file tax returns with the appropriate government agencies, including the IRS and state/local tax authorities.

What's Needed?

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in tax preparation. Knowledge of federal and state tax codes and regulations. Proficiency in tax preparation software. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
