Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Van Nuys, California. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, with a proven ability to manage financial records accurately and efficiently. This role requires expertise in bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records by processing transactions in QuickBooks. • Handle all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections. • Reconcile bank statements to ensure all transactions are properly accounted for. • Generate financial reports and summaries to support decision-making processes. • Monitor and manage company budgets to maintain financial health. • Ensure compliance with accounting principles and applicable regulations. • Collaborate with team members to streamline bookkeeping operations and improve efficiency. • Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to financial records. • Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. • Familiarity with accounting principles and compliance standards.
