Description We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team on a short term project on a contract basis in Pittsford, New York. In this role, you will manage essential financial tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance in bookkeeping operations. This position requires attention to detail, proficiency in financial software, and a commitment to meeting deadlines. Responsibilities: • Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are properly accounted for. • Utilize QuickBooks and other financial software to manage bookkeeping tasks effectively. • Generate financial reports to support decision-making and compliance. • Process invoices and payments in a timely and organized manner. • Monitor account balances and resolve discrepancies as needed. • Provide assistance with budgeting and forecasting activities. • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. • Collaborate with team members to streamline bookkeeping processes. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, with a strong understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with Quicken or similar financial software. • Ability to perform bank reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong problem-solving abilities to address financial discrepancies. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. • Knowledge of financial regulations and best practices. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract position.
