Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our client in Livermore, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers the opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll support. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and organizational excellence. Responsibilities: • Process daily donations and other income, ensuring accurate recording. • Maintain donor records, issue communications, and assist with monthly income reconciliation and audit preparations. • Handle accounts payable by entering invoices, managing vendor files, and processing payments and credit card transactions. • Reconcile credit card accounts and key financial statements on a monthly basis. • File and pay sales taxes, prepare year-end reports, and issue required forms such as 1099s and 1096. • Support payroll tasks, including employee onboarding, file audits, and benefits administration. • Execute journal entries, prepaid expenses, petty cash reconciliations, and other monthly financial activities. • Provide quarterly and annual support for tax reporting, audits, and year-end financial processes. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial operations. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics GP. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Ability to perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash. • Experience with preparing journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records.
