Description We are looking for a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team in Oakland, California. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position that requires a hands-on approach to managing financial records and supporting daily business operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a small business environment and possess a strong combination of bookkeeping expertise and organizational skills. Responsibilities: • Prepare and organize financial data to support an offsite bookkeeping and accounting team. • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. • Reconcile invoices and verify payroll and vendor payments for accuracy. • Track and balance cash and credit transactions, ensuring smooth daily close-out procedures. • Assist with inventory control and operational tasks to support business needs. • Maintain and uphold office procedures, ensuring efficiency in daily operations. • Coordinate and manage vendor services, including scheduling necessary maintenance or repairs. • Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless communication and workflow. • Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the office. Requirements • Proven experience in bookkeeping, including proficiency with QuickBooks. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Expertise in bank reconciliations and financial accuracy. • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team. • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills. • High attention to detail and a proactive mindset. • Comfortable working in a small business environment and adaptable to changing needs. • Willingness to occasionally travel to Vacaville as required.
