Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in financial management and payroll operations while contributing to process improvements within the company. Responsibilities: • Perform accurate and timely bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with account transactions. • Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable management. • Provide payroll support to ensure employees are compensated accurately and on schedule. • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. • Handle miscellaneous office tasks to support administrative needs. • Utilize accounting software and Excel to prepare financial reports and analyze data effectively. • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for auditing and reporting purposes. Requirements • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, with a strong focus on bank reconciliations. • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Previous experience with payroll systems, such as ADP, is highly desirable. • Knowledge of the hospitality industry is a plus. • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical abilities. • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • Degree or certification in accounting or finance, such as Certified Bookkeeper credentials, is preferred. • Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and tools.
