Bookkeeper
Description We are looking for a meticulous and highly organized Bookkeeper to join our client's team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring smooth accounting operations. The ideal candidate is proficient in Xero, skilled in Excel, and thrives in a collaborative, on-site environment. Responsibilities: • Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records. • Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure ledger balances are up to date. • Categorize financial transactions into appropriate accounts for compliance and reporting purposes. • Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and timely payment scheduling. • Handle accounts receivable tasks, such as creating invoices and following up on outstanding payments. • Generate and interpret financial reports to assist management in decision-making. • Upload financial data from bank files into Xero accounting software with precision. • Utilize Microsoft Excel for tracking, analyzing, and visualizing financial data. • Collaborate with management to identify and implement process improvements. • Maintain consistency and accuracy in all bookkeeping tasks performed on-site. Must have Xero software and MS Excel experience. For immediate consideration please contact: Kelly Fellows 865-370-2219 Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role. • Proficiency in Xero accounting software, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools if necessary. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, charts, and data analysis. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records. • Effective time management skills to prioritize and complete multiple tasks. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently on-site. • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reconciliation processes. • Availability to work part-time hours, up to 15-20 hours per week, in an office setting focused on precision and organization.
