Are you a meticulous financial professional with a knack for managing numbers and an interest in property management? Our client in the property management industry is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to play a critical part in ensuring the financial health and success of a growing and dynamic organization. Our client specializes in providing exceptional property management services, offering end-to-end solutions that maximize property value for homeowners, tenants, and investors. As they grow, they are committed to maintaining precise financial records and compliance standards to ensure excellent service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Recording and organizing financial transactions related to property income and expenses, including rent payments, maintenance costs, and utilities.
+ Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and property management accounts to ensure accurate balances.
+ Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including communicating with vendors and clients regarding payments.
+ Preparing and maintaining financial reports such as profit and loss statements and cash flow analyses for multiple properties.
+ Handling tenant ledger reconciliations and deposit tracking.
+ Collaborating with property owners and stakeholders to provide financial insights and reports as needed.
+ Supporting budget creation and ensuring compliance with industry accounting standards, including state and local regulations.
Requirements
+ Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience.
+ Experience: 2+ years of bookkeeping experience; familiarity with property management accounting practices is highly preferred.
+ Proficiency in accounting software systems (experience with property management tools such as Yardi, AppFolio, or Buildium preferred).
+ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams and clients.
+ A solid understanding of property management operations, including lease accounting and tenant transactions, is a plus.
