Description We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to assist with a detailed transaction review and recoding project. This Contract position is based in Pompano Beach, Florida, and will require a thorough understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in QuickBooks Online. The assignment is expected to last three to four weeks, working Monday through Friday. Responsibilities: • Review and recode approximately six months of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions. • Recode AR transactions to appropriate revenue accounts by cross-referencing business units and job types. • Process and analyze a high volume of vendor bills and customer invoices. • Ensure accuracy and consistency in transaction coding to maintain financial integrity. • Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and clarify account assignments. • Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage and update financial records efficiently. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and completeness. • Adhere to established accounting standards and organizational guidelines. • Provide regular updates on progress and address any challenges encountered during the project. Requirements • Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar accounting role. • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online and its features. • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes. • Ability to handle high volumes of transactions with precision and attention to detail. • Familiarity with categorizing and coding financial data according to organizational standards. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and address questions. • Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
